The Wraith CarThis is one of the original prop cars used in the 1986 movie, The Wraith. *DISCLAIMER: The car you see here I DO NOT OWN. I help with restoration, the cars website, and any "public relations" opportunities for the owner. This page is made for him, and to show other fans of the car the process of the restoration. A few photos of the prototype (seen below) were posted on the internet. These photos are posted here as a comparison between the prototype and movie car. A couple of the photos of the car, and cast (taken from the movie set) were submitted to us by actors or crew from the film. A very special thanks to them for helping us out! The restoration photos and videos attached to my profile are a mix of my personal photos and property of the owner of the Wraith car. Any questions can be directed to my profile here, or my e-mail. firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, the year, make and model advertised is not accurate. There is no listing for either the prototype or alternate model. I used the film date, the original makers name, and "custom" considering it's movie car status*Comments and ratings are very much appreciated! The car you see here is based off a Dodge/PPG concept car called the M4S Turbo Interceptor. M4S stands for "mid engine 4 cylinder sport". The M4S was a technological marvel for it's time. The idea was to squeeze as much horse power as the could out of a 4 cylinder engine. The Chrysler 2.2 engine was modified with a 16-valve Cosworth head, Bosch fuel injection, twin turbochargers with air-to-air intercooling. The M4S cranked out a whopping 440 horses and had a top speed just shy of 195 miles per hour. See the photo below for more stats and photos of the prototypes engine.
